03. School Houses

the school ranks.

In Duel Academy, there are three ranks of houses; Osiris Red, Ra Yellow and Obelisk Blue. Students attend the school for a maximum of four years; from the age of thirteen to the age of seventeen. However, one's year has nothing to do with their rank; some first year students can be Obelisk, while some fourth year students can be Osiris.

We allow members to select which house they wish to join upon character creation. However, please be aware that if there are too many Obelisks, we will restrict the amount of players allowed to start at Obelisk. You may rank your character's up from their starting house.

If your character is an Osiris Red who wishes to proceed into Ra Yellow:

Duel 4 people your house and above (Osiris, Ra, Obelisk) and WIN. Keep a record of these duels.

If your character is a Ra Yellow who wishes to proceed into Obelisk Blue:

Duel 5 people your house or above (Ra, Obelisk) and WIN. Keep a record of these duels.

However, be warned that your character can also lose a rank should they begin to lose duels.

If your character is an Ra Yellow, they will be placed into Osiris Red if:

Duel 5 people your house and below (Osiris, Ra) and LOSE IN A ROW. Keep a record of these duels.

If your character is an Obelisk Blue, they will be placed into Ra Yellow if:

Duel 3 people your house and below (Osiris, Ra, Obelisk) and LOSE IN A ROW. Keep a record of these duels.

the school dorms.

Osiris Red students live in a small and simple dorm building. There are no indoor halls, and students only have the basic necessities cared for. The rooms are all very simple with only beds, closets and tables provided. Three students are assigned to each room. The hall is co-ed. Students share a communal bathroom on the first floor, and they share a mess hall as well. The dorm isn't too terribly large as this is where the worst of the worst go.

Ra Yellow students in a dormitory building much nicer than that of the Osiris Red dorm but lesser than that of Obelisk Blue. The building has indoor halls, and students have an extra recreations room on the first floor where they may watch television or play games. The rooms are very nice. First years share their rooms with one other student while second and third year students may have their own rooms. The rooms each have a private bathroom and television set within. The left wing is for girls, and the right wing is for boys. They have two mess halls at each end of the dorm. Ra Yellow students also have a lovely courtyard with a gazebo. As this is where most average students go, this is the largest dorm with the most students within.

Obelisk Blue students live in two manors. The boy's and girl's manor are both on the opposite sides of a man made lake that they have access to for water sports. They each get their own luxurious room that are more like cushy apartments than dorms. Each room has a bedroom, bathroom, a living room and a spare room to be used for whatever they wish. Each manor has a large dining room that fits the appearance of the manor. Obelisk Blue students have several large and beautiful gardens and courtyards around their dorms. As this is where only the best of the best go, the dorm has the smallest population of students despite having the largest dormitories. To be placed into Obelisk, one must work their way up or get a high score in the entrance exam while also possessing a diploma from a duelist prep school.
